“You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view … Until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it.”

This is a quote from one of my mother’s favorite novels To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee for whom I was named. When I was born, my mother could not have imagined that I was going to be an actor who would have the privilege of climbing into another’s skin with each new character in order to consider things from their point of view.

I was born in New York and raised in New Jersey. I graduated cum laude from Muhlenberg College with a BA in theatre and subsequently the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama with a MA in Classical Acting. I also studied voice at the Ecole Normale de Musique.

When not acting, I am an outreach volunteer for the fabulous Film Fatales, a non profit that advocates for parity in the film industry and supports an inclusive community of hundreds of women and non-binary feature film and television directors worldwide.

Also, I am the host and creator of the Empowered Podcast, which focuses on uplifting women of color through storytelling, knowledge and education. Founded in 2021, this podcast is entering its second season of powerful conversations filled with powerhouse women representing over ten different industries. Listeners can find knowledge, laughs, inspiration, and sisterhood within the episodes' content as interviewees share their experiences and talents with the world.

There is so much power in using our voices to encourage, transform and equip the community. Not only does it empower anyone who hears our story, but it illuminates the speaker’s spirit as well. Join the conversation, come ready to learn, and most importantly, be empowered.

Finally, during my free time, I enjoy yoga, pilates, singing , spending time with friends and family, cooking and baking vegan food and writing. Check out my food website , Vegan(ish) !
